ISO 9001

ISO 9001 Quality Management System

Improve your business with ISO 9001 and gain certification to the most widely recognised global standard for quality management suitable for industries of any size, anywhere in the world.

What is ISO 9001?

ISO-9001-certificationMost of the international standards begin with the letters "ISO", the acronym for the "International Organisation for Standardisation." This worldwide federation of 110 national standards bodies works to promote the growth of manufacturing, trade and communication among business operations worldwide, through the development of generic quality standards.

Certification to ISO 9001 (or other quality management standards) provides objective proof that your business has implemented an effective quality management system and that it satisfies all the requirements of the standard. The standard does not relate to product quality, it is a management system that will monitor your processes and control quality throughout your organisation by continuous improvement.

An external, impartial expert called a registrar or CB (Certification Body) conducts the on-site audit and measures your performance against the latest ISO 9001 requirements and issues certification. The most recent revision is ISO 9001:2015.

Once your business has been audited sucessfully you will receive your ISO 9001 certificate which shows your address, scope of operations and the seals of the accreditation bodies that give the registrar its legitimacy.

What can ISO 9001 certification do for your organisation?

Gaining ISO 9001 certification can open the door to new markets. Your customers at home and abroad will recognise the advantages of working with a company that has been audited to ISO 9001. They will be confident that you have processes in place to help continuously improve your management systems.

Some of your clients may even insist that you achieve the standard before you can do business with them, particularly if they are multi-national organisations or in the public sector.

The benefits to your organisation include cost savings from efficient management, improved staff morale and better customer retention that can lead to increased profits.

Implementing the ISO 9001 framework into your organisation, whether you are a small business or a PLC, will ensure you are continually improving your processes and keeping up with best practice.
